Criminal Law
Oregon classifies crimes as either felonies or misdemeanors according to their seriousness. Both felonies and misdemeanors have three classifications, A, B and C.
Felony sentencing is dependent upon a number of factors including the seriousness of the crime and a person’s criminal history. (See Oregon Sentencing Guidelines Grid)

| Class A Misdemeanor | 1 year jail | $6,250 |
| Class B Misdemeanor | 6 months jail | $2,500 |
| Class C Misdemeanor | 30 days jail | $1,250 |
